Creating a Store on Kitely and uploading products

Thinking about opening a Kitely Store? It is easy to do, easier than you think, but it still requires some preparation. First lets start off with what is the Kitely market?  https://www.kitely.com/faq?id=what-is-kitely-market

To create a store select the "Create Store" option in the "Go to..." navigation menu at the top right side of the Kitely website (next to the shopping cart icon).... from there most of setting up a store is just following the steps as listed. It really was easier than i expected.
Don't forget to sell your store using a good description.
Most steps are self explanatory

I Created my emblem and my banner using text in a word program and snippet
Saving it in jpeg helped with the size settings, again make sure your banner, or your emblem are not copyrighted to anyone else. Initially I used an in-world image. I decided one of my digital artworks were more attractive.

You need to take a good photo of your product in-world

upload the photo

Then add from your inventory (make sure to delete extras in your inventory with the same name that are not the final products, especially if you have to debug any). This was another novice mistake I made. Then of course test deliver. That is how I learned about changing prim names and remembering to change the object name, not just the object name in store. If you make a mistake you can make the product inactive until it is fixed.

Make sure you read all the links and documentation. The help pages do not get into copyright, so it is your responsibility to understand copyright laws.

Make sure your descriptions follow policy and do not infringe on copyright like my first mistake
I had to make changes to both product descriptions and names
I made a novice mistake that could have been costly. I also had to make sure I renamed my items and any prims with the copyright error. In the descriptions of, make sure you put, "inspired by" instead of just mentioning what it might look like, and make sure it is clearly not representing any copyrighted object. Both Evee and Unicorn Kitty Cat had different shapes than the copyrighted items in question, however I had to change the descriptions and names.

You can always reach out in the Kitely Forums. https://www.kitely.com/forums/   I recommend this and really need to take my own advice more. The forums are full of helpful and quick responses.

Finally it is live

  1. Very helpful, Salie; especially some of the warnings about objects, copyrights, uploads, and the light. It's always good. If you have another avatar with a totally different email (or even somebody else among friends or family that are willing to test things) so that you can be sure you don't hit glitches before it goes large-scale.
